Introducing my new custom S3 steel frame Rodriguez road bike. Built right here in Seattle. 2014 SRAM Force 22, ZTR Alpha 340 rims, DT Swiss 240s hubs, FSA K-Force carbon bars, Grand Cru extended length calipers with full-length fenders (just in time for fall), Selle Italia SMP Lite 209 saddle, Look Keo 2 Max pedals, Serfas Seca 28mm tires. Weighing in at just over 19lbs including pedals and fenders.

I fell in love in the first 5 seconds after I got it on the road.

My co-worker Steve tells me that he walked in and ordered a bike the same day I picked up my S3 Rainier. This was before he even saw my bike. I guess word-of-mouth still works, doesn't it? I hope you guys can set him up with something decent.

I took my new build out for a quick 10-mile test ride this morning. Smiley, you weren't kidding about those tires. I hope they end up being as durable as they are smooth and grippy. The mechanic at [competing shop in my home town] admired R+E's work and confided that he only rides his steel frame roadie, leaving his shop's flagship Orbea carbon fiber to collect dust.
