Greetings from Seattle and everyone here at Rodriguez Bicycles — thank you for being part of our story. I've always said we have the best customers in the world, and I truly mean it.
I wanted to take a moment to reconnect and share a little something with you. We're still here, hand-building bicycles in Seattle — 52 years strong! When we started back in 1973, Richard Nixon was president, Starbucks had just one store, and the first cell phone call had just been made in NYC. Although the world has changed a lot, our commitment to craftsmanship and connection hasn't.
For four decades, we stayed in touch through our quarterly print newsletter — maybe you remember those? (If not, you can find the daring relics on our website archives.) When the digital tide rolled in, we shifted our storytelling to rodbikes.com, where there’s over 30 years of insight and inspiration tucked into the pages.
But lately, we’ve been craving something a little more personal. So, we’re bringing back our tradition of storytelling — just in a new format. Every so often, I’ll pop into your inbox with a behind-the-scenes peek at our shop, a piece of Rodriguez history, or a fun look at what we’re working on now. No spam, just stories and updates from the heart of our shop.
And if you're ever up for a chat and find it difficult to get to the store — we're now offering video consultations via Zoom. It’s a great way to connect face-to-face and talk bikes, ideas, or next builds.
Thanks again for riding along with us.
See you in your inbox soon,
Dan
