Dear Smiley, Dan, and Alder,

We cannot thank you enough for such a great bike! I've been meaning to send you an update, but when I read Dan's newsletter, I knew I had to get this out to you all.

Thank you for putting up with us and our requests and questions. This bike is just what we wanted. Not a ride has gone by where at the end we don't say something like: "can you believe we just did that?", "what a smooth ride", "this bike is amazing", etc, etc. Trails that we did on our modified gravel bike are so easy, trails that we stopped doing because "hike-a-tandem" is not fun we now "cruise" through! Sand? - a breeze. Chunky gravel? - What gravel? Washboards? - Didn't even notice. Scott loves the hydraulic brakes too. A couple of our rides would destroy his grip on the downhill, but now he says he barely notices that he's braking at all. Plus, it rides just as nice on the roads! That is so nice since we live in San Diego and we can just ride to the trails and not have to think about driving anywhere.

On our road bike, Scott could never find a comfortable saddle and always had to wear a chamois. Now, no chamois! Your Next-fit system works like a charm.

After reading about The Stella, I daydream that our Rodney may one day be your next build. I would definitely suggest it to any Tandem Team that wants to go beyond smooth fire roads. We can't wait to keep uping the trails and see what Rodney can do...well, really, Rodney can do anything - it's our comfort level now. :)

We can't wait for spring and taking it out on some bike camping journeys.

Scott's only (and hopefully last) question is what type of tubeless tire sealant did you use? He wants to be sure he gets the same thing and we didn't see it on the paperwork.
