Mini-Velo travel bike
The Pony keg is a mini velo without the usual drawbacks for this type of bike. Our philosophy of building mini velos goes all the way back to 1996. We build them to ride like 'real' bikes. We use the same chain stay length as our standard bikes, so you don't have to ride accidental wheelies. The fork and head tube geometries are designed to result in the same handling characteristics you’d expect from a high quality custom bike. These are features our Mini Velo Customers love!
In short, You won't feel that 'twitchy', unstable ride that other mini velos have and you won't have to lean over the handle bars to keep the front wheel on the ground when you're riding up hill. Instead, you'll have the same smooth, controlled ride that you would get with any of our Rodriguez bikes...with a few added benefits. The short wheelbase and smaller wheels keeps the Pony Keg very agile.
Like all Rodriguez bikes, the new Pony Keg is completely customizable. Feel free to have us cover this frame in mounts for a full bolt on frame bag or maybe just a bunch of water bottles. Set it up for bike packing, full touring, commuting, or just having a great time!

For years now, people have asked if we could build a version of our famous Rodriguez 6-Pack without the 6 couplings so it would cost less. Well, now we do. The Pony Keg is the mini velo you've been waiting for. Set it up for any use that suits you. We can build it light and fast like a road bike, or stout and versatile like a mountain bike. You can even choose the travel version and take it with you anywhere in the world.
Sizes: All of our bikes are offered in 20 production sizes . If you don't fit one of our production sizes, a custom size frame in any model is just $200 extra.

With a Rodriguez, you can get a custom look for less. All Rodriguez bicycles come in your choice of 16 standard paint colors or for a few $$ extra you can choose from dozens of our snazzy colors in stock. We have four different styles of decals to choose from in . If you have a special paint design in mind, just let us know the design, and we'll quote it for you.
